Rural Institute for People's Enlightenment (RIPE)

Our NGO’s work is vital to uplift marginalized rural communities by ensuring access to sustainable livelihoods, empowering women, and promoting inclusive development and social equity.

Rural Institute for People’s Enlightenment (RIPE), established on 26th June 1989, is a nonprofit organization working across Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh and Kolar district in Karnataka. RIPE is dedicated to uplifting the poorest and most vulnerable communities, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women-headed households, child labourers, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The organization promotes sustainable rural development through agriculture and horticulture promotion, women empowerment, natural farming, irrigation and water management, and WASH initiatives. It has empowered communities through skill development, FPO formation, health awareness, and capacity building of grassroots organizations. RIPE also contributes to research, monitoring, and evaluation for major rural development projects across Andhra Pradesh. With a strong legacy of service, RIPE continues to champion inclusive growth and self-reliance among marginalized populations.
